Yamaha FZ Blue Flex Fuel Launched: Price, Engine and Key Details

Yamaha Motor India has entered the flex-fuel motorcycle segment with the launch of the FZ Blue Flex at an introductory price of Rs 1,24,240 ex-showroom. The new motorcycle is designed to run on ethanol-mixed fuels from E20 to E85.The FZ Blue Flex is based on Yamaha’s popular FZ platform and uses a 149cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected single-cylinder engine that has been updated to support higher ethanol blends. The engine produces 11.3 bhp of power and 12.8 Nm of torque and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Yamaha says the motorcycle is designed to run on a variety of ethanol blends without affecting daily use.In terms of design, the FZ Blue Flex retains the familiar styling of the FZ range. It features a full LED projector headlamp with integrated position lamps, sculpted fuel tank with aerodynamic bodywork, compact exhaust, sharp LED tail lamp and single-piece seats. The bike is available in Metallic Black paint scheme.The hardware package remains largely unchanged. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic front forks and rear monoshock, while braking is assisted by single-channel ABS. The bike also comes with an LCD instrument cluster, though it doesn’t offer features like Bluetooth connectivity, navigation or traction control.The Yamaha FZ Blue Flex will be sold through select Blue Square dealers in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Telangana and Tamil Nadu.
