party’The Ramayana‘ Fans are counting down the days to their big trailer launch this week. As the official trailer debuts online to kick off the countdown to July 24, fans are busy turning the film’s concept art into an impressive first look.After the grand event in New Delhi on Saturday, the makers unveiled a special comic book that offers an in-depth look at the mythology-inspired world of the film. The illustrated book showcases detailed concept art for key characters, kingdoms and locations, giving fans a closer look at the ambitious adaptation. Soon after the comic’s images appeared online, social media users began using AI image-generation tools to transform the images into real-life depictions.Among the most widely shared recreations is Sai Pallavi’s Sita, whose comic book look is transformed into a royal live-action-style portrait complete with intricate jewelry and traditional attire. One sees her in a red sari and adorned in gold, while another sees her in a saffron sari with a blade in her hand.Devotees have also recreated Yash’s Ravana, depicting the demon king as a battle-hardened warrior both pierced with arrows and in his elaborate royal armor. These images, in turn, served as the first look of the characters, especially after the makers had only glimpsed them in the ‘Rama First Look’ clip.Other AI-generated images include Kunal Kapoor’s Lord Indra Eravata as well as Silver Armor and Faisal Malik’s Kumbhakarna.The comic, unveiled during the film’s promotional event, provides readers with a detailed introduction to the kingdoms of Ayodhya, Mithila and Lanka, along with brief biographies and character illustrations with mythological backgrounds.Featured characters include Ranbir Kapoor Starring Lord Ram, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Adinath Kothare as Bharat, Nitish Sharma as Shatrughan, Kunal Kapoor as Lord Indra, Shobna as Kaykesi, Chetan Hansraj as Sumali, Anupam Kher as Jatayu, Kajal Aggarwal as Rani Mandodari, Faisal Malik as Queen and Kumkeshwar as Rani. did Preet Singh as Surpankha.The side also includes artwork of the Hindu trinity—Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva—with detailed depictions of royal holy cities, grand architecture, royal courts, and impressive cityscapes.While these images aren’t official material, fans can expect to see something similar when the first trailer is released online after the film’s grand debut at San Diego Comic-Con later this week. Director Nitesh Tiwari is expected to attend the grand event in the US along with Ranveer, Yash and producer Naimat Malhotra, after which the trailer will be released online.The makers have prepared two trailers for their release. The CBFC has given both – the 4-minute clip and a 4.15-minute clip – a ‘U’ certificate.
