Actors and dancers Raghav Jual revealed that Salman Khan Called him personally after seeing the trailer of his upcoming film ‘Bhai Tera Star Hai’. According to Raghav, the superstar appreciated the comic tone of the film and felt that its humor brought something new which was missing from recent releases.Speaking to IANS, the ‘Kill’ actor recalled that Salman particularly enjoyed one of the meta jokes in the trailer and didn’t hesitate to share his appreciation over the phone.
Salman Khan appreciated the film’s comic approach
Sharing details of the conversation, Raghav said that Salman was impressed by a joke revolving around popular phrases involving “someone’s brother” and “someone’s life”.“Salman sir also called me after watching the trailer. Because I made a meta joke about ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’. So, he liked it a lot. He said, it is getting lost somewhere. The freshers and youngsters are not doing it. You did it. It’s a very good thing,” shared Raghav.
A bond that begins with ‘Kisi ka bhai kisi ki jaan’
Raghav and Salman developed a close relationship while working together in ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’. The actor has often spoken of his admiration and respect for Salman, describing their relationship as one that continued beyond the shooting of the film.Released on April 21, 2023, ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ featured Raghav opposite Shehnaz Gill and marked his first major collaboration with Salman Khan.
What about ‘Bhai Tera Star Hai’?
Opening up about his role in ‘Bhai Tera Star Hai’, Raghav said that he plays Ajay Singh, an aspiring actor who has a lot of confidence but very little talent.He explained, “I’m excited about Ajay Singh’s character in ‘Bhai Tera Star Hai’ because he thinks he’s a big, talented actor. He thinks he’s going to be a huge superstar, but in reality, he acts terribly. While trying to prove himself through his bad acting, he gets into trouble. There is chaos throughout the film, and eventually he finds himself in a situation where he has to repay a powerful don’s money.“
Inspired by Govinda’s comedy
Raghav also shared that the film is an attempt to revive the family-friendly comedy that audiences associate with Govinda’s films.“With this comedy, I wanted to bring back the kind of humor I saw in Govinda’s films, something for my parents and small-town boys. A film where people can laugh freely, laugh heartily, and enjoy themselves without holding back,” he said.
