Changes to the House of the Dragon Season 3 Tapestry
Outside of the music, the opening credit sequence that depicts the history of House Targaryen through an animated tapestry, now ends differently. Instead of ending with an image of the Iron Throne, the tapestry now ends with a Targaryen-style dragon sigil featuring a black dragon on a red background.The emblem does not represent the traditional Targaryen banner, which features a red dragon on a black field. Instead, the crimson black dragon is associated with House Blackfyre, a cadet branch of House Targaryen that emerged decades after the events currently depicted in ‘House of the Dragons’.Viewers noted that the tapestry was also torn, representing the fall of House Targaryen, its dynasty and dragons.New episodes of ‘House of the Dragon’ Season 3 will air every Monday until the season finale on August 9.
