Set 17 years after ‘Dune: Part Two’, the film follows Paul Atreides’ rise to power as Emperor of the Imperium. Once guided by his prophetic vision, Paul finds his vision lost. “The future has a way of speaking to me,” says Paul before adding, “I can’t see what lies ahead.”The footage revisits Paul’s now strained relationship with Choni, which is depicted Zendaya. After his political marriage to Princess Irulan, played by Florence Pugh, Chani’s bond with the emperor begins to seem strained and becomes more complicated than ever.
Robert Pattinson joins the franchise as Cytel
The trailer also offers a first look at Robert Pattinson as Skytail, who emerges as Paul’s latest adversary, preparing to dethrone him and “strike at the core of Imperial power.”

Denis Villeneuve and Timothee Chalamet In ‘Dune: Part Three’
Speaking during an IMAX fan event, Villeneuve revealed, “I went to my crew and said, ‘I’m taking a break. That’s it. Bye-bye.’ I went home, and I stayed up in the middle of the night with those pictures. I was supposed to do another movie.”Timothy Dunne shares his thoughts on the franchise’s emotional ending. “I couldn’t believe how quickly the experience came and went. Maybe because Covid is a strange thing that has melted our sense of time, it seems long when you think about it, making three huge movies in six of seven years, it’s really not that long.”
Star-studded cast and release date
The film features an ensemble cast led by Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Florence Pugh, Rebecca Ferguson, Isaac de Bankole, Charlotte Rampling, Anya Taylor-Joy, Robert Pattinson and Javier Bardem.‘Dune: Part Three’ opens internationally on December 16, before hitting US theaters on December 18.The release sets up one of the biggest box office clashes of the year, with the film debuting in the same holiday corridor as ‘Avengers: Doomsday’. The trailer will also be paired with the IMAX screening of ‘The Odyssey’ later this month, giving audiences another glimpse of the epic sci-fi sequel ahead of its theatrical release.
