The lawyer also said that a detailed response to Salman Khan’s plea will be submitted and clarified that the film is yet to release.The filmmakers further assured the court that they will not send the film to the court Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) till Monday for certification.Justice Jyoti Singh said that if the filmmakers are confident that the film will not release in the coming days, they should formally put that assurance on record. The court asked their lawyers to seek directions from the clients and come back with a clear stand. After consulting the filmmakers, their lawyer pointed out that Salman Khan had not implicated CBFC as a party in the case. The counsel argued that no film can be released without getting a certificate from the board and reiterated that ‘Kala Hiran’ is yet to be submitted for approval.“We will not send it to CBFC till Monday,” the lawyer assured the court. Following the statement, the High Court recorded the reply of the filmmakers and ordered the matter to be listed for hearing on Monday.Earlier, Salman Khan’s counsel requested the court to direct the filmmakers to give a formal undertaking that the film will not be released in the meantime. Describing the matter as involving violation of the personality rights of the actor, the lawyer sought interim relief.The court subsequently accepted the filmmakers’ undertaking that the film would not be submitted to the CBFC before Monday and scheduled the next hearing accordingly.Salman Khan has approached the Delhi High Court seeking relief against the makers of ‘Kaala Hiran’, with more details on the dispute expected to emerge when the matter is taken up again next week.
