Teenage sensation Vaibhav Sooryavanshi made history on Saturday when he became the youngest player to represent India in a men’s T20I during the second T20I against England at Old Trafford in Manchester. The 15-year-old surpassed the previous record held by Sachin Tendulkar and marked an unforgettable milestone in Indian cricket. Although his stay at the crease was brief, Sooryavanshi gave fans a glimpse of his fearless batting with a spirited 14 off just 10 deliveries.Opening the innings alongside Abhishek Sharma after India elected to bat first, the youngster announced himself in spectacular fashion. His first international over the ropes came against England quick and his Rajasthan Royals teammate Jofra Archer. Stepping back to create space, Sooryavanshi ducked under the short delivery and lofted it cleanly over the wicketkeeper for a whopping six.He added another maximum in the next over, launching Josh Tongue deep over midwicket with a powerful shot, underscoring the aggressive intent that has made him one of India’s brightest young players. However, England hit back in the fifth over. Will Jacks edged the teenager with a fluttering shot outside the off-stump as Sooryavanshi raced down the track looking for the attack.
