Andaman and Nicobar Police Recruitment 2026: The Andaman and Nicobar Police has extended the last date for online application for Group B (non-gazetted) and Group C recruitment to June 25, 2026 while also revising the vacancies for several advertised posts due to administrative reasons. The revised notification was issued with reference to the recruitment announcement issued in early April.Candidates who have not completed the application process can now apply online by 11:59 pm on June 25, 2026. The correction window has also been extended and will be open until 11:59pm on June 27, 2026. The recruitment process covers posts in the Administration, Police Broadcasting Organization, Police Motor Transport, Police Maritime Force, Fire and Emergency Services and Indian Reserve Battalions.
Revised vacancies for multiple positionsAccording to the latest notification, some vacancy notifications have been modified due to administrative reasons. Letters of appointment will be issued strictly on merit basis for each position and subject to vacancy availability. The revised vacancies also include projected vacancies as on December 31, 2026 and appointments will be made in order of merit as and when such vacancies arise.The notification further states that except for the revised vacancies, all other terms and conditions mentioned in the original recruitment notification on April 24, 2026 will remain unchanged. Candidates are advised to adhere to existing eligibility conditions and recruitment guidelines.Eligibility conditions remain unchangedThe Andaman and Nicobar Police clarified that although the application deadline has been extended, the original deadline of May 17, 2026 will continue to be the reference date for determining age, possession of educational certificate, driving license and all other eligibility requirements specified in the recruitment notification.The department also said that certain Group C vacancies proposed to be filled through compassionate appointments have been included in the recruitment notice. Selection for such posts will be conducted under the relevant categories as per the provisions of the vacancies which are tentative and subject to change at the time of final selection.Further, lateral reservation of Merit Sportspersons (MSP) will be implemented through a separate recruitment drive as per the guidelines of the Ministry of Personnel and Training, Government of India.
