I told them that they would eventually sell their shares when it got a huge valuation. I knew they wouldn’t be with it forever.” Raj admitted that he was surprised by her prediction. “It’s amazing. It’s scary.” Madan revealed another prediction he made about the business model, saying the couple would continue to reinvest their earnings instead of taking profits for themselves.“I also said they would make a lot of money but not save any of it. They would take money from one place and invest it elsewhere. They would not take home a dime. They would not take any salary or dividends. Everything would go back to the business.” In response to his comments, Raj confirmed that the business had largely followed that path.“Wow, not bad. The growth has been phenomenal. Seriously, without investing a penny after the first outlet, it was so successful that we kept opening one after another. Today, there are about nine bastions across the country. It all started with the first one.” Madan also predicted that Bastian will eventually establish a presence in tier-2 cities as the brand continues to expand.The restaurant chain had earlier dominated the headlines when Shobha spoke about what she described as her staggering earnings during an appearance on De Mojo Story. “The kind of money in Mumbai is amazing. A single restaurant has a turnover of Rs 2-3 crores a night On a slow night, it is Rs 2 crore, and on weekends it is Rs 3 crore. I went to that restaurant myself because when I first heard these numbers, I thought they couldn’t be true.“He later identified the restaurant as Bastian. “It’s Bastian. The new Bastian.
