Robbie Hoffman, the ‘Hacks’ actress, has admitted storming out of the 2025 Creative Arts Emmys after losing the category to her co-star Julianne Nicholson. Recalling the Emmy incident, Robbie Hoffman noted that the category was the first award listed during the ‘Bald and Beautiful’ podcast with Trixie Mattel, who also appeared on the infamous night last September. “I lost immediately,” the ‘Rooster’ actress said before adding, “I lost the biggest blow. We got the first prize. I lost immediately, and we woke up with all the happiness in the world,” she continued.The actress admitted that she assumed herself to be the ultimate winner, despite competing with such decorated stars Olivia Coleman and Zoe Kravitz. “I walk in, I’m already like, ‘Where do I put Emmy?’ We lost immediately,” he said, as his sister grabbed his hand and asked him to leave the event.

Furthermore, Hoffman claimed that he had to present an award earlier in the evening, but he was not in the mood. “I had to present the cinematography. I said, ‘No, I don’t want to do that anymore.’ They said, ‘No, it’s part of the program!'” he explained. After calming down with a glass of champagne and a Mattel clash in the backstage area, he later went on stage and presented the trophy for Outstanding Cinematography for a Series (half-hour).During the interview, Hoffman shared his joy that Julian Nicholson won the category even though it wasn’t his. “Julian Nicholson, who deserved it, won, and if not for me, then for Hacks. He was amazing,” the comedian said.In 2019, Robbie Hoffman won a Daytime Emmy Award for his work as a writer on Odd Squad (PBS).
