In a 2017 conversation with Vulture, the acclaimed director admitted that he was hooked on David Fincher’s ‘Mindhunter’. He shared during the interview that it is one of the best shows he has seen and he would also love to do something along those linesHe added, “I’ll be there, 1am… click. It’s a bedtime story! I love the advent of Netflix and what it means to people like me. It suits me on the ground.” I would personally like to do a ten-hour mini-series. [David] Fincher’s got the best show on the air right now.”Praising the show’s creator, he quipped, “Fincher is a bit like me, very anal, compulsive, but he’s very good, and it proves that audiences want good. They don’t want s***; they want good.”

In the same interview, the director added that he is quite obsessed with OTT platforms. He commented, “It’s like a catapult, because they just want content and lots of it. Do they care so much about quality? Less about it, and they should be looking at that. But they’ve got $8 billion to spend next year, just on content. And I watch one movie a night, so it’s perfect.”
