Sham Kaushal talks about grandson Baby Bihan
In a conversation with India Today, 70-year-old Sham Kaushal opened up about his bond with his grandson Vihaan, born Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif on November 7, 2025. The proud grandfather said that the baby has brought a new kind of happiness in his life.She said, “She has changed my life. Whenever I am busy with work and can’t hug her physically, I make a couple of video calls and talk to her. She is so beautiful. I thank God as much as I can.”After Vihaan is Vicky or Katrina, Shaam had a clear answer. “I think she looks like Vicky,” he said.
Sham Kaushal calls himself blessed, credits his family
Shyam Kaushal also reflected on how lucky he feels to have the family he has today. He said, “There are many parents in the world who are blessed by their children. I am one of them. I did not imagine all this. I have two wonderful children, and my daughter-in-law is very beautiful. I thank God.”
Sham Kaushal has no plans for retirement
Although his sons begged him to slow down, Sham made it clear that he had no intention of stopping. “They’re asking me to stop working. But what if I don’t work? I’ve been working since I was nine. What do I do with tea and breakfast?” He smiled.He added that his relationship with work has changed over the years. “Earlier I used to work with insecurity. I had to take care of my family and my kids. Now I’m in a safe zone. I don’t have to worry about money. I’m working with good people, and I’m enjoying it more,” she said.

Earlier this year, Vicky and Katrina gave the paparazzi their first glimpse of Bihaan during an outing at the Mumbai airport. When Katrina requested not to be photographed while carrying the baby, the couple allowed photographers to meet Bihaan, marking the baby’s first introduction into the media spotlight.
