Kannada actor and filmmaker Sharmila Mandre has entered a new phase in her life as she got engaged to producer Sudhan Sundaram. The couple’s engagement ceremony took place on June 25 at a private function in Bengaluru.

The couple shared pictures from their event showing the two resplendent in white traditional attire as Sharmila Mandre wore a saree and Sudhan Sundaram was seen in a kurta.The engagement was attended by close family members and friends. The ceremony took place after blessing and approval of both the families. The couple exchanged rings in a traditional celebration surrounded by their loved ones.

Sharmila kept the announcement simple in a collaborative post with Sudhan Sundaram. “And just like that,” she wrote, along with an engagement ring emoji.Soon after the post was shared, fans and several celebrities congratulated the couple. Talking about Sharmila’s work, she made her acting debut in 2007 with ‘Sajni’. Since then, she has acted in around 35 films across Kannada, Tamil and Telugu cinema. Some of his popular films include ‘Krishna’, ‘Navagraha’, ‘Aake’, ‘Galipata 2’, ‘Powder’ and ‘The Devil’. Apart from acting, he directs Sharmiel Mandre Productions and has produced several content-driven films.On the other hand, Sudhan Sundaram is the founder of Passion Studios and is known for producing several films. His film Parking won the National Award for Best Tamil Feature Film at the 71st National Film Awards.Sharmila and Sudhan are scheduled to get married later this year. However, the couple has not announced the wedding date yet.
