Chetna Panda revealed that the success of ‘Haunted 3D’ came at the end of what he described as the “worst six months” of his life. The actress admitted that she is still trying to come to terms with the film’s reception, years after facing personal hardships and industry rejection. Adding weight to the moment, Chetna shared that her mother is currently undergoing treatment for liver cirrhosis, while her partner and pets are also battling health issues. With so much going on at home, she said her parents weren’t really able to celebrate and enjoy this milestone with her.

Speaking to India Today, Chetna said, “My partner was sick, my mother was sick and then my pet was diagnosed with health problems. It seemed like one setback after another. I had almost forgotten what happiness felt like. I was in so much emotional pain that I completely broke down and felt at my lowest point. That’s why this moment feels all the more special. I can’t believe that after going through such a hard time, something so beautiful could happen.“

He called ‘Haunted 3D’ a blessing and said its success made him believe that things will work out in the end. The actress looks back on her journey and feels that every tough time she went through was worth it. “I think we actors have faced a lot, from endless waits to rejections. And then when you get a film like this, which also does such great numbers, it feels like all my setbacks were totally worth it. Every setback in my life that has broken me has strengthened me and prepared me for today. Now I feel that everything happened for the right reason,” he said.

The success of ‘Haunted 3D’ seems like a dream to Chetna. After years of rejections, missed opportunities and being dropped from films despite being confirmed, it means a lot to her to see people loving her performance as Sunheri. “It feels incredible. I still haven’t been able to process it. There was a point when it wasn’t even released, so from there to this journey, it feels very, very special,” he said.
