A city court has once again issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) against the actor Prakash Raj The complaint is related to a case related to multiple voter registration. According to court documents, this is the third time a non-bailable warrant has been issued in the matter. The latest court hearing led to the new warrant

Earlier the actor was reportedly issued a summons, followed by a warrant when he was not present at the proceedings. As there was no record of appearance, the court decided to re-issue the non-bailable warrant and proceed with the case. The matter will now come up again during the hearing scheduled for July 25.

The case relates to allegations of multiple voter registration

The case revolves around allegations that Prakash Raj’s name appeared in the voter lists of several states. According to the complaint, apart from being registered as a voter of Bengaluru’s Shantinagar assembly constituency, his name was also allegedly found in the electoral records of Chennai, Tamil Nadu and Serilingampally in Telangana. This was done after legal action was taken against the party under certain sections of the Representation of the People Act, 1950.

Court proceedings will continue before the July hearing

Records show that summons were issued to the actor after the court took up the case. When those summons could not be served, the court issued its first non-bailable warrant on March 17, 2026. The warrant was re-issued in April and again in June after Prakash Raj failed to appear in court. As a result of the latest order, the case is under judicial consideration.
