Combining both, X banned a total of 5,08,155 accounts in India during the said period. Also, the platform has received around 14,421 complaints from Indian users through its complaint redressal mechanisms. In addition, about 41 requests for suspension of accounts were received.
“After reviewing the specifics of the situation, we have removed 1 of these account suspensions. The remaining reported accounts remain suspended,” the company said in its post.
“During this reporting period, we received 71 inquiries regarding general questions about accounts,” he added.
This is not a new practice for X to ban accounts for policy violations. Between December 26 and January 25, the platform banned around 2,31,215 accounts in India. During that time, the company banned 1,945 accounts promoting terrorism on its platform.
Tips to avoid getting X account banned
To prevent X from deleting your account, do not violate the policies set by the platform. Avoid sharing child sexual abuse and non-consensual nudity.
