The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has started submission of Detailed Application Forms (DAF) for candidates eligible for the Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2026. Eligible candidates can now complete the application process for the Civil Services Main Examination through the UPSC official portal.The DAF window opens on June 19 and will run until June 28, 2026. All candidates wishing to appear for the main examination must submit this form.According to the commission, shortlisted candidates can use the DAF portal to submit or reconfirm their details, pay examination fees, update scribe information, request for assistive devices or large print question papers and indicate their cadre preference. The e-admit card for the main examination will be issued only after successful submission of DAF. Female candidates, Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates are exempted from paying the examination fee of Rs 200. Other candidates must pay the fee when submitting the form.
