He described Dharmaan as a family-oriented thriller that carries strong entertainment elements.As reported by India Today, he also rubbished initial speculations that the film would be based on the “5 Rs Doctor” concept. Instead, he indicated that the story revolved around larger-than-life characters placed in a commercial cinematic setup.
Blend of mass appeal and investigative style
Aswath also explained that ‘Dharman’ will combine mass dialogue with investigative drama elements. He compared the tone of the film to two well-known Tamil films.The film is expected to feature a strong hero-driven storyline while mixing in thriller-based sequences.According to the director, Rajinikanth is not playing a character based on the real-life inspiration of the much talked about “5 Rupee Doctor”.

When I met #Rajnikanth sir, he said ‘We have to win at any cost, we are doing it with RKFI.
