The trailer of ‘Clara and the Sun’ has been released
The first trailer for ‘Clara and the Sun’ is out now and features Jenna Ortega, best known for her work with Tim Burton in ‘Beetlejuice’ and ‘Wednesday’, as an artificial friend. With the singular goal of finding the perfect home and conceiving a baby, Clara meets Josie, which begins a wild story. The trailer gives a glimpse of a dystopian future where people can buy robots as ‘friends’. However, Clara’s particular model, along with many others like it, is considered old and outdated. Meanwhile, the shopkeeper, played by Natasha Leone, remains hopeful that they will soon find someone to buy them and take them home. When Clara asks the store manager how she found her family, Leon’s character tells her, “Just remember what you’ve learned, and hope they love you like a family member or a family dog.”When Josie confronts Clara, she’s hell-bent on buying him, even though her mother isn’t looking forward to it. Clara comes home with Josie and acts like a child, as the artificial friend is made with the intelligence of a young child, as shared in the trailer. While Waititi directed the film, he also co-wrote the script with Dahvi Waller. You can watch the trailer here:

Another commented, “Clara and the Sun is my favorite book of all time, so I have a lot of unreasonable expectations for this movie. One person critically examined the video and posted, “This movie feels like it got the whole mood of the book wrong. As entertaining as it looks, it seems like a fresh take on a quiet, contemplative and thoughtful book. It’s strange, but missing what the original book offers.”
