The big picture
Australia responded strongly after losing the ODI series earlier in the tour, securing the T20I series with four-wicket, seven-run wins in the first two matches. The visitors consistently outplayed Bangladesh at key moments, showing greater depth with both bat and ball.
For Bangladesh, the biggest worry was their inability to convert promising starts into meaningful totals. Saif Hassan’s 42 in the second T20I remains the hosts’ highest single score in the series, highlighting the struggles of the batting unit. In contrast, three Australian batsmen have already surpassed that mark, highlighting the gulf between the two sides.
Terrain and conditions
The surface of the Chattogram has produced various challenges throughout the series. While the opening game offered significant help to the players, the second game provided more pace and a variable bounce before the better batting took place. The pitch for the final T20I is expected to favor the batsmen, although the spinners could still play a key role during the middle overs.
The weather could also have an impact, with patchy cloud and a chance of early damp from overnight rain. However, conditions are expected to improve as the match progresses.
