ETimes review praised the performance

Reviewing the film, ETimes wrote, “Jayaram and Urvashi’s reunion is an easy, livable warmth, and Jayaram in particular holds the film together without ever missing a beat. Emperuman is so closely shaped by Myskin’s deadpan that he hardly seems like he’s acting, and the running gags eat up his land, Yogi. The usual dry routine with jokes often at his own expense. No one stretches, and no one wobbles. Nothing stands still here, but there is very little jolting, and that balance is reason enough to turn.”
