Marriage speculation surrounding Kriti Sanon has often made headlines, but her brother-in-law and singer Stebin Benn believes the actor should not feel pressured to settle down. In a recent interview, Stebin said that Kriti has earned the right to take this decision on her own terms and should only get married when she feels fully ready.
‘He deserves the freedom to make decisions’
When asked if the conversation about Kriti’s marriage takes place within the family, Stebin reveals that people often bring up the topic, preferring to support her instead of joining the discussion.Speaking to Galatta India, Stebbin said, “People talk about it because after the younger sister gets married, everyone starts asking why the elder didn’t. But I never discussed it with Kriti, and whenever the matter comes up, I stand by her. He is doing exceptionally well in his career. For a girl to come from a small town and make such a big name for herself is a huge achievement.”He added that marriage should happen only when the person feels confident.“I think she should get her own time and freedom. When Kriti feels that she has found the right person and believes that it is the right time for marriage, she will take that decision. There is no need to rush.”Stebbin also said that no age limit should be attached to marriage.“Whether one gets married at 20, 30, 35 or even 40, it doesn’t matter. You should only get married when you are absolutely sure. Why rush something so important?”Kriti is rumored to be dating London-based businessman Kabir Bahiya since mid-2024. Although none of them have officially confirmed the relationship, they have often been spotted together during holidays, family gatherings and public events including Nupur Shannon’s wedding celebrations. Recently, breakup rumors were rife after Kabir was spotted with another woman. However, Kriti was seen putting speculations to rest by sharing a cozy picture with him on Instagram, creating buzz once again about their relationship.
‘I relate to Kriti’s journey’
Apart from her personal life, Stebin also spoke candidly about Kriti’s professional journey, saying that she sees similarities in their careers.“When I look at Kriti, I associate a lot with my own journey. Somewhere that’s why I connect with her so much. He came into the industry, worked hard, got ahead on his own and achieved his stardom entirely through his own efforts.”He also appreciates the fact that despite becoming one of Bollywood’s top stars, he remains grounded.“Today she’s such a big star, but she still remains connected and grounded to her parents. Everything about her is the best.”
‘There is no limit to him’
Stebbin believes Kriti’s best years are still ahead.“I think his future is very bright. He’s going to go far. He has so many films and I think there is no limit for him.”He concludes by praising his growth as an actor.“Over the years, he has become a good actor, and people can see that. His fandom is growing, people are giving him more love, and I am very sure that he will do wonders and make everyone proud. He is already making everyone proud. I am very proud of him.”
