Aamir Khan Entrepreneur Ashni is no longer attached to the upcoming biopic based on Grover. The actor, who previously reported on the project as well as the title Shraddha KapoorReportedly walked out after differences over the film’s creative direction. Despite his exit, the makers are going ahead with the project and have already started searching for a new lead actor.

According to Bollywood Hungama, earlier this year, reports suggested that Aamir Khan had joined hands with first-time director Rahul Modi for a film inspired by the life of the controversial start-up entrepreneur. After Aamir wraps up his period drama with Ashutosh Gowariker, Shraddha Kapoor has also been asked to be on board as the female lead, with the film expected to begin production in March 2027.However, recent developments indicate that the collaboration ended before filming began.Reports suggest that Aamir is fascinated by the world of start-ups, and is keen to enter the zone with Ashney’s Grover’s biopic. He sat on the script and developed it to the best of his sensibilities. But eventually, she had creative differences with Rahul Modi, leading to a split between the two.

Rahul Modi and Shraddha Kapoor continue the project

Although Aamir has walked away from the film, the project itself is very much alive. According to reports, Rahul Modi and Shraddha Kapoor are committed to taking the biopic forward and have now started scouting for a young actor to play Ashni’s Grover.“The real-life couple is now looking to recast the film, and Ashneer is looking for a younger name to play Grover. Two-three top names are in talks, and the cast is expected to be locked soon,” added the report.

Produced and stars Shraddha Kapoor

Apart from playing an important role on screen, Shraddha Kapoor will be supporting the film as a producer in association with a leading studio. She is expected to play Grover’s wife in Ashni, making the project a significant addition to her slate as an actor and producer.
