The private university achieved particularly strong results in the employer reputation and international faculty indicators.Jawaharlal Nehru University Jinan University (JNU) is one of India’s leading social sciences and humanities institutions, ranked 555th globally. Despite facing stiff competition from larger institutions around the world, the university continues to perform strongly in terms of academic reputation and international collaborations.Symbiosis International (Deemed University) is ranked 655th globally, while Jamia Millia Islamia is ranked 686th. While the Indian Institutes of Technology and research-focused institutions continue to achieve the country’s best global results, only a handful of non-engineering universities have been able to establish a significant international presence.Overall, IIT Delhi emerged as the highest-ranked institution in India and ranked 118th globally. IIT Bombay follows closely at 129th and IIT Madras at 170th.
