It’s already been a year since Namit Malhotra dropped the grand announcement for the ambitious Nitesh Tiwari-directed epic, ‘The Ramayana‘ and fans are already taking to social media to celebrate.Amid buzz about a new trailer launch set for release this month, netizens took to their handles to share their appreciation and excitement about the upcoming film starring Ranbir KapoorYash and Sai Pallavi in the lead role.

‘Ramayan’ trailer will be released in July?

The makers of ‘Ramayan’ are reportedly planning an international rollout for the film’s extensive promotional campaign, with multiple reports suggesting that the first official trailer will be unveiled on July 14 at a grand event in Los Angeles.The launch event will serve as the first major showcase for the mythological epic and is expected to be attended by lead stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and other members of the cast and crew including Yash. The trailer is said to debut around three months before the film hits the big screens on Diwali.If the buzz is true, the trailer will come after the makers dropped ‘Rama First Glimpses’ earlier this year. It was earlier reported that the makers wanted to launch such ‘first glimpse’ clips to introduce the global audience to the epic characters during the festive season of Diwali.

Comic bride ‘Ramayana’?

While the team has not officially confirmed the event, reports have come amid growing speculation that ‘Ramayana’ may also debut footage at the 2026 San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), which is set to be held this month. According to an earlier report by Mid-Day, producer Malhotra and director Tiwari were in advanced talks to premiere the first full trailer of ‘Ramayan: Part 1’ during the festival, which has also staged international titles like ‘Avengers’, ‘Spider-Man’, ‘Lord of the Rings’ and more. This year’s SDCC will take place from July 23 to July 26, with a preview night on July 22.Meanwhile, Malhotra has been hosting special screenings of exclusive film footage for content creators in India for the past few weeks. The footage reportedly features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana and Ravi Dubey as Laxman.The two-volume epic is being mounted on a grand scale and is slated for worldwide theatrical release starting with ‘Ramayan: Part 1’ in Diwali 2026 and ‘Ramayan: Part 2’ in Diwali 2027.
