Rishabh Rikhiram Sharma eyes Oscar!The sitar player, on Monday, shared a glimpse of his live performance from the grand ‘Ramayana’ Bharat Mandapam event in New Delhi, where he performed the song ‘Ram Ram’. Sharing the video on her handle, she expressed her excitement about being a part of the film and also shared her confidence about possibly getting an Oscar nomination.The composer wrote, “Honored to contribute to this historic project celebrating the story of Ramayana. I humbly present to you all a performance of ‘Ram Ram’ which was performed live at Bharat Mandap last night. See you at the Oscars.”

During the launch event, producer Namit Malhotra confirmed that Sharma has officially joined the film’s music team along with Academy Award winners AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer. Announcing the collaboration on stage, Malhotra said, “Apart from Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman, there is also Rishabh. He is going to contribute his talent to Ramayana.”Ramayana launch event, unveiling the first trailer of the film and introducing it to the audience Nitesh TiwariAdaptation of ancient epics. Along with the trailer, the event showcased the film’s visual world, concept art, costumes, character portraits and glimpses of the star-studded cast.

The lead cast of the film comprising of Ranbir Kapoor, Sai PallaviRavi Dubey, Director Nitesh Tiwari, Producer Namit Malhotra, Kunal Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh, Vivek Oberoi, Arun Govil, Ajinka Deo, Shobhana, Swami Ramdev, Ashwini Iyer Tiwari, Apo Johar, Apo Johar were attended by several notables from the film industry.‘Ramayan’ will soon hit the world stage when its trailer debuts at the San Diego Comic-Con on July 24.
