Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is all set to make his senior international debut, and at just 15, the former Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin believes the teenage sensation should simply enjoy the experience of representing his country.Sooryavanshi has taken the cricketing world by storm with a string of record breaking performances. Despite his youth, the batting prodigy has shown incredible composure under pressure, consistently delivering when his team needed him the most. As he prepares for the biggest step of his career, Ashwin believes the youngster should focus on enjoying the game before the inevitable pressures of international cricket start to mount.“He’s a 15-year-old kid, who I personally believe should have fun playing the game, just like you would have fun in the gullies of his hometown,” Ashwin told the BBC.“He won’t have a long road ahead of him to play without pressure. He will make up for it eventually, because it will turn into work, but from now on I would like him to have fun and entertain us all,” Ashwin added.Ashwin also praised Sooryavanshi’s exceptional talent, noting his ability to adapt against seasoned bowlers despite his limited age and experience.“I think he is special. When you watch someone special, you know it immediately,” Ashwin added. “What stood out about Vaibhav was not just the way he batted, but how he was able to make subtle adjustments compared to some of the older bowlers coming after him,” Ashwin concluded. Fifteen-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi continues to make cricket history after scoring the fastest half-century in List A cricket, reaching his fifty in just 11 balls during India A’s Tri-Nation series final against Sri Lanka A. His explosive 94 off 29 balls helped India A win the title. The Bihar prodigy also holds several outstanding records, including becoming the youngest IPL Orange Cap winner, fastest player to 1000 IPL runs, youngest men’s T20 centurion, holder of most sixes in a single T20 tournament and fastest Youth ODI fifty, cementing his status as one of cricket’s brightest young stars.
