In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Mona Singh looked back on the journey that brought her here, believing in being patient and waiting for meaningful opportunities instead of taking on projects to stay visible. Reflecting on her career, Mona said her belief in herself never stopped her from shaking, adding that perseverance was central to her journey.Singh said, “I never thought in my life that it wouldn’t happen. There’s nothing impossible. If I had given up, I wouldn’t be standing in front of you today, to be honest. I just kept going, I was consistent, I waited, not for the next script, but for the right script. I think that’s why all my releases look so different … that don’t work as a cure-all, there’s no separate work like my collection. Did the right thing.”

The ‘Ba***ds of Bollywood’ actress also shares the parameters that guide her script selection, revealing that she actively looks for roles that challenge her as both an actor and a woman.Explaining her thought process, Mona said, “Something that I have never done before as an actor, as a woman. I hope to take on challenges that I have never done before. I don’t want a woman to be just a moral compass… Or just being a relatable girl next door… or just a good mom. Is he running the script? Is he moving the narrative forward? Is her ambition and her resilience being celebrated in the script? That’s what I’m looking for.
