Worked with former ad filmmaker Prahlad Kakkar Aishwarya Rai Bachchan During her modeling days, the actor had earlier reflected on her highly publicized divorce Salman Khan. In a 2025 interview, she claimed that while the breakup itself brought her relief, what hurt her the most was feeling abandoned by the film industry, which she believed rallied behind Salman.Kakkar recalls standing next to Aishwarya in that episode. According to her, she lost faith in the industry after the relationship ended.“I was supporting him. I told him, ‘Don’t worry about it.’ She said, ‘But the industry…’ is the biggest blow for Salman to leave the industry. He really felt that; He felt very betrayed. The breakup, in fact, was a huge relief at the end of it,” he said, in an interview with Vicky Lalwani. She also claimed that Aishwarya’s disappointment was less from the end of the relationship and more from how she believed the industry reacted to it.“He wasn’t upset about the breakup. He was upset that everyone took Salman’s side and not him. The truth was on his side. He didn’t trust the industry anymore because it wasn’t fair. I could understand if he was wrong and the other side was right, or if both sides were treated equally. But nothing – it wasn’t completely one-sided,” added.Kakkar also made claims about Salman’s behavior during that period, alleging that the actor was “very physical and obsessive” and asking, “How do you deal with someone like that?”However, he clarified that Aishwarya did not discuss the issue directly with him. Instead, he said his observations came from living in the same building as the former couple.“No, I knew because I lived in the same building. He used to make scenes in the foyer and bang his head against the wall. The relationship was over long before it was officially over.
