The director-choreographer is an old look Farah KhanOn her chat show Tere Mere Beach Mein, the superstar shared a hilarious story of how Gauri once tricked her into buying a handbag for herself while she was recuperating in the hospital.During the conversation, Farah Khan praised Shahrukh saying, “I know you are a very generous husband and you have given Gauri many gifts.”Answering with a smile, Shah Rukh revealed that he had gifted Gauri many things over the years, often exchanging them for her better wishes.“Whenever I gift Gauri something, she accepts it. But 99.9% of the time, she returns it and buys something else instead,” he shared.Recalling a memorable incident, Shah Rukh said it happened while undergoing treatment in London after a spinal injury.“I suffered a spinal injury and had to stay in London for one-and-a-half to two months. I bought some T-shirts from a shop, but after wearing them, I felt they didn’t fit. Since I was in hospital, I asked Gauri to return the T-shirts and buy cotton instead,” he recalled.However, when Gauri returned, she told him that the shop had refused to take back the T-shirts.
‘Why does he need new clothes?’
The truth comes out when some of Shahrukh’s friends visit him in the hospital and mention that they saw Gauri exchanging t-shirts at the shop.Instead of buying new clothes for her husband, she bought herself a handbag.Laughing at the incident, Shah Rukh recalled Gauri’s argument, “She’s in the hospital. Why does she need to wear new clothes?”The light-hearted story left both Farah Khan and the audience in splits, giving fans another glimpse into the couple’s playful relationship.
