Once Farah wraps up her trademark gifting session, Shreyas and his wife surround themselves with heaps of goodies. The heartwarming moment prompted Shreyas to share a touching personal story, revealing that Om Shanti Om was what made it possible for him to buy his first home. Farah was visibly surprised and said she was thrilled to hear this. Shreyas recalls, “Me bank gaya tha, but loan eligibility nai tha mera and then the banker lady said, ‘Kounsi film kr raha ha? Maine kaha om shanti om, usne pucha kaun hai usmen? (I went to the bank, but I didn’t qualify for a home loan.) The bank officer asked me, ‘Which film are you working on?’ I said, ‘Om Shanti Om.’ He then asked, ‘Who’s acting in it?’), I said Shah Rukh KhanHe asked who was managing? I said Farah Khan. He said, “Can you give me a letter?”

Shreyas went on to explain how both Farah and Shah Rukh Khan stepped in to help him get the loan approved. He added, “I called Farah, and she got me a letter from Shah Rukh Khan within two days and they approved the loan that evening.” Farah couldn’t help but react with a mixture of joy and humor after hearing the story, saying, “I’m so happy because we probably didn’t pay you much for Hamane Tuzhe Kya Hi Pays De Honge Om Shanti Om Ke (Om Shanti Om).“

‘Om Shanti Om’, directed by Farah Khan and produced under the Red Chillies Entertainment banner, saw Shah Rukh Khan in a dual role with Deepika Padukone, who made her Bollywood debut with the film.
