Despite the heavy defeat, captain Nigar Sultana believes the team remained upbeat and coped well with the grueling tournament schedule.
“It’s a very busy schedule, definitely, because we don’t have a lot of time to adjust. But we had a very good session yesterday, so it looks good,” she said.
The captain also revealed how the players tried to maintain a positive atmosphere.
“During the bus journey, I think we had a lot of fun, and we try to talk as much as possible positively. And, you know, we sang on the bus, and we talked about cricket, definitely.”
Bangladesh’s bowling attack has impressed in some parts but the batsmen will need to step up after their failure against Australia. A win over Pakistan would put them back on track in the race for the semi-finals.
