Avani Kejriwal, a commerce student from Ranchi, topped CBSE Class 12 after re-evaluation results brought her score up to a perfect 500.After the re-evaluation process, Avni’s score increased by 24 points. CBSE Class 12 Result Data released in May showed Avni scoring 95.2%. She has achieved perfect scores in accounting, economics and applied mathematics. However, she was surprised by her English and business results and decided to apply for reassessment.Talking about her decision, Avni said English has always been her favorite subject and strongest area. She told ANI, “Everyone is very happy now. We did not expect 500 points, but everyone is very happy. I was deducted 19 points in English, which I did not expect. English is my favorite subject and my strongest subject. So I applied for re-evaluation. Business studies was also deducted 5 points.”“The review process worked in her favor. After reassessment, her scores were revised upwards and she achieved full marks in all five core business subjects – English Core, Accounting, Business Studies, Economics and Applied Mathematics.
