Citroen India today finally launched the new Citroen e-C3X electric car in the Indian market with prices starting at Rs 10.25 lakh (ex-showroom), making it Rs 1.74 lakh less than its predecessor. The company is also offering the 2026 eC3X with an optional Battery as a Service (BaaS) plan, which brings the car’s purchase price down to Rs 6.29 lakh, while battery usage comes down to Rs 2.26 per km. Interested customers can book the EV online or by visiting their nearest dealership. Deliveries are expected to begin soon. The Citroen eC3X gets exterior and interior tweaks, along with added comfort features, and now gets even more variety. It is offered in three variants – Live, Live (O) and Shine. The electric hatchback competes with Tata Tiago EV and MG Comet in the Indian market. Talking about the battery first, the 2026 eC3X continues to get a 29.2kWh battery pack, delivering a claimed MIDC-certified driving range of 325km – an improvement of 79km over the previous version. Drive is sent to the front wheels via an electric motor with 57 hp and 143 Nm. The EV can accelerate from 0-60 km/h in 6.8 seconds and has a top speed of 107 km/h. The eC3X supports both AC and DC charging options. A full charge from 10 percent to 100 percent takes 10 hours and 30 minutes with an AC charger, while a DC fast charger can boost the battery level from 10 percent to 80 percent in 57 minutes.
The 2026 eC3X gets a number of feature and design updates, including projector LED headlights, new 15-inch two-tone alloy wheels and folding, electrically adjustable ORVMs. It retains the V-shaped LED DRLs, LED taillights, body cladding, wheel arches, halogen fog lamps and skid plate style bumper inserts.The interior now features a two-tone blue-beige color scheme and leather seat covers, while the dashboard layout remains unchanged. New additions include a 7-inch TFT instrument cluster, auto-dimming IRVM, wireless charger, surveillance camera and a six-speaker JBL audio system. Dashcam and JBL mount available as accessories.Safety features include six airbags on the top variant and four airbags on the lower trims. Existing equipment such as a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, mechanical air conditioning, rear wiper and rear parking camera with sensors have been carried forward.
