‘It felt like one big family’
Describing the wedding celebrations, Amin said everything was warm and relaxing.“I think the best part was that we all met the day before the wedding, like friends get together for lunch. It was a casual evening where Aamir invited his closest friends. Gauri’s family was also there; they are such warm and wonderful people,” she said.According to Amin, there were no elaborate ceremonies or traditional rituals.“The wedding was held at Aamir’s house. We didn’t follow any traditional wedding rituals. Many have asked if there was music or other functions, but there wasn’t. We just spent time together, chatted, laughed and enjoyed each other’s company.”She also shared that Gowrie’s father Robert “Bob” Spratt, her twin sister Shawna and other family members attended the celebration.
‘I think I’ve found my magic’
Amin revealed that Aamir told his close friends about Gauri about a year before he publicly introduced her.“About a year ago, Amir invited some of us to his house and said, ‘I want to talk to you about something.’ He told us that he had someone special in his life. Aamir is a very emotional person and I remember he had tears of joy in his eyes.”“He said, ‘I think I’ve found my magic.'”Amin said that Aamir spoke of his respect for both Queen and Gauri and her son from the beginning.
‘He has always proceeded responsibly’

Before his heart procedure, Gauri consoled him by saying, “Whenever you’re sitting alone, remind yourself that everything is going to be okay.”After the surgery, she said, “He held my hand, looked me in the eye and just smiled. It was a small gesture, but it meant a lot to me.”
Aamir’s sweet bond with Queen
One of the most touching moments Amin shared was about Amir’s relationship with Quinn.“Quinn is only five years old, and she just calls him ‘Amir’. Their bond didn’t start recently, it’s been going on for over a year.”Amir recalled one evening in Panchgani when he was in the middle of an important conversation.“Then Quinn asked Amir to read him a bedtime story. Without a second’s thought, Amir looked at us and said, ‘I’ll be right back, guys,’ and immediately got up to read Quinn his bedtime story.”For Amin, moments like these perfectly capture who Aamir is off camera, a devoted partner, a caring father figure and someone who makes time for the people who matter most.
