Nicholas Galitzine‘Masters of the Universe’ is officially ready for OTT release! A direct live-action film adaptation of the Toy Line franchise is coming online soon. If you miss the magic of the beloved characters on the big screen, it will soon be available on OTT for you to watch at home.
‘Masters of the Universe’ OTT Release Date
It has been confirmed that the film will be released online on the OTT platform for all to see. It will be available exclusively on Prime Video on July 22 this month. The film was earlier released in theaters worldwide on June 5. The official release announcement was shared online, with the film’s official Instagram page posting about it. They shared a video of the movie with the caption “Listen! Watch Masters of the Universe – July 22 on Prime Video”.
About ‘Masters of the Universe’
Based on the popular He-Man toy line, Nicholas Galitzin stars as He-Man, a young boy just discovering his powers. Once he accepts his fate, he must do everything in his power to save a royal planet kingdom along with all the other kingdoms. The official synopsis reads: “A young man on Earth discovers a great secret inheritance as the prince of a foreign planet and must retrieve a magical sword and return home to protect his kingdom.” Along with Galitzine, Jared Leto also stars in the film as one of the main antagonists, the infamous Skeleton, who is hell-bent on taking over all the kingdoms.Other cast members include Morena Baccarin as the witch. Alison Brie as Evil-Lynn, James Purefoy as King Randor, Idris Elba as Man-at-Arms and Charlotte Reilly as Queen Marlena. The franchise returned to the big screen after nearly 39 years, with the last film starring Dolph Lundgren released in 1987. As reported by Box Office Mojo, the film grossed USD 114 million at the box office against an overall production cost of USD 170 million to 200 million.
