Esha Deol Speaking about navigating breakups, heartbreak and life’s most personal decisions, she likes to trust her own decisions and believes that every experience, including mistakes, helps a person grow stronger.During a conversation with Carly Tales, Esha reflected on how she approaches major life choices, including relationships.“When it comes to decisions, I don’t take others’ opinions. I prefer to take my own decisions because tomorrow, if it’s right or wrong, I won’t blame anyone else for it. Be it films or boyfriends. Mistakes happen. They make you stronger and you learn from your mistakes,” she said.
‘It’s between two people’
The actress, who announced her separation from businessman husband Bharat Takhtani in 2024, described such situations as deeply personal and sensitive, especially when children are involved.“It’s something very personal. It’s between two people. In the profession we’re in, it’s open to the public. I’m not the kind of person, nor Bharat or his family, to be so open about a lot of things. But at that moment, we were put there and there were children involved. These are very sensitive areas of life.” One has to be very careful.He credits his family for standing by him at every stage of his life.“My family has always been very supportive of me through everything – good or bad,” he shared.
‘Every situation is different’
When asked what advice she would give to women who are considering a breakup but are unsure about taking that step, Esha emphasized that every relationship has its own set of circumstances.“The reasons can be very different. A lot of people will find my reasons not so rational for doing certain things. And it’s not always just a woman, it’s a man too. If two people who are good people do something like that, I think it can be done better,” he said.Interestingly, despite going through a breakup, Esha admits that she still deeply believes in love and romance. The actress added that her experience has not changed her view on relationships.Esha and Bharat officially ended their 11-year marriage in 2024, announcing an amicable split in February. They share two daughters, Radha and Miraya, born in 2017 and 2019 respectively.
