According to the report, about 91% of people face problems while accessing ChatGPT. About 7% of users were unable to access the website and the rest were unable to access their ChatGPT account.
Users also took to X (formerly Twitter) to post about the ongoing outage.
What OpenAI Says
While users are facing issues accessing ChatGPT, OpenAI’s official status page has also acknowledged the outage. The company cited the issue as “increased latency and bugs affecting both ChatGPT and APIs.”
Also, according to the official OpenAI Status page, the service is now back online and the lag issue has been resolved. “Performance is now back to normal,” the official page says.
To check this, the TOI Tech team tried accessing ChatGPT on the web as well as through mobile apps and both places ChatGPT works fine without any issues.
