Time Raina and her show ‘India’s Got Latent’ are not new to the controversies. While so far the show and the contestants have tried not to raise any issues to add to the legal issues, it has been noted that a Bihar-based contestant has drawn a lot of criticism in ‘India’s Got Latent’ season 2 after she identified herself as a “man-hater”. During the third episode of the latest season, one of the contestants, Sakshi Jha, introduced herself as a ‘man-hater’. Her audition clip is going viral across social media platforms. On the one hand, while she openly describes herself as a “man-hater”, on the other hand, her Instagram bio further echoes the same sentiment. His biography reads, “Patriarchy’s worst nightmare.” During her stint on the show, she revealed that her boyfriend cheated on her.And the negative comments against men didn’t stop there. He made another controversial statement about his future. “Pati ko daru pai ke marna hai, (want to beat my husband after drinking alcohol),” she wrote as part of her reply. Jha then claimed to dislike the men in her family, including her own father and brother.His words did not sway the panel comprising of Samoy Raina, Tanmoy Bhatt, Vishal Dadlani, Raghu Ram and Yashraj Mehra. This is the first time in Latent’s history that the panel has unanimously cleared a contestant. Interestingly, despite a zero from the panel, Sakshi rated her performance an eight.At one point, Samay asked him, who has hurt you? And he answered, “Men.” Samay Samay replied, “That’s why we say, ‘Educate the girls’.”As the conversation continued, Samay asked the audience to give their verdict, which did not differ from the panel’s score.
