2026 Renault Kiger unveiled: New options, changes explained

Renault India has expanded its Kiger range with the introduction of four new variants in naturally aspirated and turbo-petrol powertrains. The update aims to make turbo performance and premium features more accessible to buyers. With the facelifted range, the Renault Kiger Turbo is now priced from Rs 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom), making it the most affordable turbocharged sub-compact SUV. Renault has also introduced a new Evolution+ variant, available with both naturally aspirated and turbo-petrol engines, with prices starting at Rs 6.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Interested customers can book the updated Kiger online or visit their nearest Renault dealership. Deliveries are expected to begin soon.

Positioned just above the entry-level trim, the Evolution variant gets LED daytime running lights and LED taillamps, an 8-inch infotainment system with wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, rear AC vents, cloth seat covers, electrically adjustable ORVMs and a rear parking camera. The Evolution+ trim includes a host of features such as push-button start/stop, automatic climate control, wireless smartphone duplication, driver’s seat height adjustment, and lightly patterned cloth upholstery.

A number of features offered on the Evolution variant are carried over from the higher-end Techno trim. The Techno variant additionally adds LED headlights and 16-inch Flex wheels. At the top of the range, the Emotion variant exclusively offers features like ventilated front seats, a 360-degree camera, diamond-cut alloy wheels and selectable drive modes.As part of the refresh, Renault has expanded the Kiger Turbo portfolio from three to five variants. The Techno trim is now available with a turbo-petrol engine and a 5-speed manual gearbox, offering buyers another performance-focused option in the range. The naturally aspirated Kiger range has also been expanded from six to eight variants, giving customers a wider choice of features and price points.The Renault Kiger continues to be offered with two engine options – a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine with 72bhp and 96Nm and a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine with 100bhp and 160Nm of torque. The turbo engine is available with manual, CVT and now a wider range of options. The NA engine is offered with a 5-speed MT or AMT gearbox.
