Satyadev’s latest release ‘Rao Bahadur’ has made its theatrical debut with a steady opening at the box office.The psychological drama collected Rs 1.40 crore at the net collection in India on the first day, according to Sacknilk. The film released on Friday and recorded its opening day collection from 883 shows across the country.Written, directed and edited by Venkatesh Maha, Satyadev plays the role of Rao Bahadur. The film also stars Vikas Muppala and Deepa Thomas.

The worldwide gross has crossed Rs.3 crores

Apart from its domestic earnings, ‘Rao Bahadur’ collected Rs 1.50 crore in overseas gross collection on its opening day.This took the film’s worldwide total collection to Rs 3.11 crore after the first day. Meanwhile, its India total collection stands at Rs 1.61 crore, while India’s total collection stands at Rs 1.40 crore.

Night show register best grab

The Telugu version of ‘Rao Bahadur’ recorded an overall occupancy of 27.65% on its opening day.The film started the day with 19.00% occupancy during the morning show. This figure increases to 23.08% in the afternoon and further to 25.46% in the evening. The highest number of voters came in the night show, where the occupancy reached 38.08%.Andhra Pradesh and Telangana dominated the film’s box office performance on the first day. The two states together earned a total collection of Rs 1.45 crore.Karnataka followed with Rs 13 lakh and Tamil Nadu contributed Rs 2 lakh. The rest of the territories together added Rs 1 lakh, taking the film’s total Indian gross to Rs 1.61 crore.

‘Rao Bahadur’ follows the story of a man who is descended from a once prominent royal family. Satyadev plays the central character, whose life is shaped by the burden of his family’s fading legacy and increasingly unstable mental state.Reviewing the film, ETimes wrote, “Rao Bahadur feels less like a conventional thriller and more like an emotional puzzle pieced together from memory, grief and identity.
