Bollywood Superstar Salman KhanIts production banner Salman Khan Films (SKF) has released a statement about its upcoming war action drama film ‘Matribhumi: May War Rest In Peace’. The team was responding to claims that the film ran into trouble with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).Releasing the statement on their X (formerly Twitter) handle, the production house said that the reports are completely false. It clarified that the film is yet to be submitted to the CBFC for certification.
Salman Khan Films has issued a clarification
The statement reads, “Mathrubhoomi: May War Rest In Peace has encountered problems with CBFC or any claim that its certification has been withheld is advised. The film has not yet been submitted to CBFC for certification. So such reports are completely baseless.” The production house added, “We request that media outlets and individuals refrain from spreading unverified information. Any official updates regarding the film will be shared by Salman Khan Films through its official channels only.”
What the report says
In contrast, in recent weeks, several reports have claimed that the film has undergone changes and reshoots. Some reports have also suggested that the CBFC has withheld the film’s certification. However, the latest statement from Salman Khan Films dismissed all these claims and made it clear that the certification process is yet to begin.
About ‘Motherland: Let War Be Peace’
Talking about the film, he directed ‘Matribhumi: May War Rest In Peace’ Apurva Lakhia. Bollywood actress Chitrangada Singh acted with Salman Khan in this film.
More about the release of the film
Before the name change, the film was titled ‘Battle of Galwan’. It was originally planned for release in April this year, but was delayed. After the postponement, the film was tipped to hit the theaters during the Independence Day weekend in August. But the makers have not confirmed the official release date yet.
