The ‘A’ certificate report is a speculation
As per India Today’s latest update, the film is yet to get censor clearance. The makers are still waiting for CBFC’s decision and expect the process to be over by next week. The report also states that the rumors of the movie getting an A rating are mere speculations. The team is hopeful of getting the certificate and sharing the release date accordingly.
Rumors of ‘Jana Naygan’ release
Earlier according to NDTV, reports claimed that the film was given a certificate with a few cuts. It is also said that the final certificate will be issued next week. But the makers have now denied that claim.According to reports, the team is planning to release ‘John Noigan’ on July 16. If that date is not possible, July 23 is reportedly being considered as another option. A July 31 release is also in talks. However, that date might be difficult as Jason Sanjay’s directorial debut ‘Sigma’ is also slated to release on the same day.The makers are expected to announce the official release date only after the movie gets censor clearance.
About ‘John Noygan’
Directed by H Binoth, the film is a political action thriller in which Vijay is seen as an ex-police officer. It features Pooja Hegde as the female lead, Bobby Deol and Prakash Raj as the main villain, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mamita Baiju and others. The film is said to be Vijay’s last before focusing on his political career.
