During his interview for Asian Paints’ ‘Where the Heart Is’ Season 5 series, Sunil Shetty, along with his wife, businesswoman Mana Shetty, opened up about his intentions with their Khandala home, which they affectionately named ‘Jahan’.During the interview, he gave a grand tour of the entire house, revealing that it was built over 16 years and naturally incorporated existing elements of nature. Mana Shetty, who was also joined by her husband during the interview, shared her thoughts on why the house is so special to them, adding, “This house of ours that we built, I think, 17 years ago, was a real labor of love because we really gave it our all. Neither of us knew we were going to build such a beautiful home for children and families.”Shetty also revealed that the location came to him after he along with some family friends decided to travel to Khandala to celebrate Holi with their children. He recalled a distant memory of walking the same path they now call home, barren with only a few wild trees, alongside his son Ahan Shetty. He shared that when his son held his hand and told him, “You know, Dad, isn’t this place beautiful?”, he knew immediately that this place had the potential to be their home. Further, he also explained how his and his wife’s childhood inspired them to build a house in this place, as it offers a lot of greenery and natural light.
