Tamil crime comedy drama ‘Con City’ received a positive response after its release on 26th June. The Arjun Das and Anna Ben starrer, which had a decent opening weekend, saw low numbers on Monday.According to Sacknilk, ‘Con City’ collected Rs 48 lakh across 944 shows in 48 days (Monday). On the first day, the film grossed Rs 75 lakh. Later, it added Rs 1.20 crore on the second day. With positive wording, the number rose further to Rs 1.30 crore on Sunday.
Occupy ‘Con City’
On Monday, the overall occupancy of ‘Con City’ was 11.52%. During the morning session, the occupancy was 9.50%. It gradually increased, with the afternoon show recording 10.36%, the evening show 10.29% and the night show ending the day with 12.29% strength.Directed by Harish Durairaj, the film also stars Yogi Babu and veteran actor Vadivhukkarasi in lead roles. There is also child actor Akhilan.

X (earlier on twitter), one wrote, “A well written movie with perfect casting.. everyone did their part well.. the first act took a lot of time to setup the characters and the struggle they faced after that film pickup is really good.” Another added, “A fun entertainer against the backdrop of a scandal. Good first half and a decent second half.” On the other hand, one shared, “The film had an interesting premise, but several logical flaws are noticeable throughout the movie.
