Jacob Elordi describes the extreme measures taken to film his character’s death in ‘Euphoria’s’ final season, detailing an unexpectedly surreal experience of being locked in a coffin with a living reptile for an extended period of time. The 29-year-old actor discussed his return to the series and the various challenging scenes creator Sam Levinson arranged for his character Nate’s exit.During his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Elordi joked about the demanding nature of his final episodes. “I think Sam brought me back to torture me,” she told costar Coleman Domingo, who was on duty for the evening. The actor described the whole experience as painful, recalling weeks of physical punishment. “It was like, I got beat up by a seven-foot guy in six weeks,” he explained.

“I was stuck in a coffin for two days straight with prosthetics and a fake tongue, and I couldn’t see out of my eyes. And then Sam put the snake in the coffin,” Elordi shared, describing the sensory deprivation and claustrophobia of the experience. Despite the seemingly nightmarish scene, the actor expressed an undaunted attitude towards the ordeal.

Surprisingly, Elordi appeared comfortable with this arrangement, even sharing the confined space with a live boa constrictor playing the role of a rattlesnake in the final sequence. Rather than being threatened by the reptile, the actor finds the experience strangely companionable.“He had a very nice personality. He was very docile and very sleepy. I don’t think he had much sun,” Elordi recalled of the snake’s behavior. “I was bullying him, trying to activate him and do the scene, ’cause he was meant to be threatening. But he was like a little dog. He was just curling up at my feet,” he added, describing the snake’s reluctance to perform the threatening actions required for the scene.The actor elaborated on the snake’s movements during filming. “He’ll lower the tube, and then he’ll hunker down, and then he’ll find a little warm spot,” Elordi explained, painting a picture of an animal far more interested in comfort than giving a convincing performance as a lethal reptile.

It’s great,” he explained, highlighting the simplicity of performing a non-verbal death scene after the complications of the previous season.

It’s warm all the time. There’s nothing you can do about it. You get your fingers in there,” Elordi explained with visible distress at the mere thought.
