Norman Reedus Marks the end of a chapter after wrapping up the fourth and final season of ‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’. The actor shared a message and photo reflecting on playing Daryl Dixon for 16 years. His post praised the team, celebrated the work behind the episode and suggested that the farewell carried a different weight.

Deadline reported that Reedus posted the message after returning from Mongolia and viewing footage from the final episode. She said it was hard to choose which photos to share because the experience meant so much to her. The image shows Redus in costume, holding a blood-covered clapperboard and hugging cast and crew members.Reedus called the team “the best I’ve ever worked with” and described the sense of accomplishment after filming ended as “just amazing”. He told fans that the season involves intense work and commitment.“It was a special season,” Reedus wrote, adding, “It just hit so differently this time.”The actor had earlier announced in November that he had wrapped up shooting for the series. In that earlier farewell, he described playing Daryl as a joy and thanked the audience for supporting the character throughout his run.

‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’ Season 4 Details

Reedus first appeared in 2010 in the third season of ‘The Walking Dead’ as Daryl. The crossbow-wielding Survivor became one of the franchise’s most recognizable characters, even though he never appeared in Robert Kirkman’s comic books. Reedus remains with the flagship drama through its 2022 finale.The spinoff picks up in 2023 and follows Daryl after he washes ashore in France. His quest to return home takes him across Europe and eventually reunites him with Carol Pelletier as Melissa McBride. The third season moved much of the work to Spain.The final season will consist of eight episodes, making it the show’s longest installment. AMC has not announced a confirmed premiere date. The new episodes will bring to a close the European chapter of Daryl and Carol’s journey, while the wider ‘Walking Dead’ universe will continue through other projects.
