After the blockbuster ‘Manjummel Boys’, the director Chidambaram Back with ‘Balan: The Boy’. The thriller hit the theaters on Friday and opened to good response from the audience.
Opens with ‘say’ 1.82 crores NET in India
According to Saknilk, ‘Balan: The Boy’ collected Rs 1.82 crore nett in India on its opening day. The film was screened across 1,316 shows nationwide.Its total collection in India stands at Rs 2.11 crore. Kerala emerged as the biggest contributor to the film’s earnings. The state accounted for an estimated total collection of Rs 1.65 crore on the first day.The Malayalam version contributed Rs 1.74 crore nett from 952 shows and recorded the highest gross among all language versions.Tamil added Rs 4 lakh nett, while Telugu added Rs 3 lakh nett. The Hindi version grossed Rs 1 lakh nett.The Malayalam version registered an overall occupancy of 32.27 percent. There was steady improvement throughout the day. The morning show recorded 18.25 percent occupancy. The afternoon show grew to 24.42 percent. The evening show reached 29.92 percent, while the night show reached 50.08 percent.
