Philip Grenz, who has been acting as Sam Neill’s representative for several years now, confirmed in a news report that the beloved Hollywood icon has passed on to his heavenly abode after suffering complications from pneumonia. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Grenz shared that the actor always craved privacy, which is why his family will soon hold a quiet memorial for him.He added, “As Sam was an intensely private person who hated a fuss, his family will honor him with a private family memorial at his farm in New Zealand at a later date. I would like to sincerely thank those close to Sam for considering his privacy with the respect they deserve and for being available to his loved ones in need and availability at this difficult time.”Grenz also added in his statement that if fans and netizens alike want to extend their respect to the actor, they should donate to one of the many causes that Neil believed in. The ‘Peaky Blinders’ actor was well known for his philanthropic efforts and being a big environmentalist He owned his own farm and often spoke actively about environmental conservation. The statement added that this could include any “NZ charity or fund that supports the sustainability, protection and conservation of New Zealand’s wildlife, native bush and land, such as the NZ Nature Fund and Sustainable Terraces.”“

Four of Sam Neill’s projects will be released posthumously

In the same report, his representative also confirmed that Neil has worked on around four projects which are yet to be released. He continued and shared that the projects “will be released in the coming months.” Two confirmed projects include his appearance in the romantic comedy ‘The Last Resort’, as well as the science fiction thriller ‘Godzilla X Kong: Supernova’. No details of the other two projects have been shared online at the time of writing.
