Speaking to IANS, Madhu shared that after learning that many leading ladies had said no to Tina Verma’s part, she made up her mind that she would do the role. He told IANS, “As many people told me that the lead actors turned it down, the lead actresses turned it down. I was obviously not the first choice, I believe; they went to a lot of people at the time. They all said no, and then it came to me. The more I learned that different actors had turned down the role, the more I was sure I wanted to do it, so I’m proud of that film.“Asked who turned down the role, the ‘Roja’ actor added, “One of the names I came to know about is Karisma Kapoor and I don’t know who else. But I was told that 2-3 of them turned it down.”
